As a Big 3 CAW member, you are entitled to a wide range of benefits. Your union has gone one step further by bargaining the CAW Group Insurance Program offered through Breckles Insurance Brokers Limited and Aviva Traders General Insurance. Breckles and Traders were chosen to provide this group benefit after an in depth tendering process. The CAW is currently one of Breckles’ most valued accounts and has been providing insurance advice to the CAW for over 20 years.
The program has been specially designed to meet the needs of CAW members like you. You can start taking advantage of auto and home insurance products that are comprehensive and well priced. These insurance products are designed for complete peace-of-mind protection.
Individual members will be allocated a premium that is representative of their vehicle and driving experience. It is anticipated that the vast majority of CAW members will be eligible for the Aviva Traders product. If a member is not eligible, as a broker, Breckles will ensure coverage is provided at the best rates possible.
Eligibility:
Any member of the CAW who is actively employed (including those on disability leave), or who is on layoff or retired from General Motors of Canada, Ford Motor Company of Canada and DaimlerChrysler Canada Inc. is eligible for the CAW Group Insurance Program at preferred rates. Also eligible, are the spouses and dependent children of these members as well as surviving spouses of retirees.
